#2 In further addition, in that same view, look at the two guys south of the group. If you go south again, the two guys appear to be walking towards the group. Perhaps the guys thought the guy in the group was giving them the finger? lol

#1 Since the Google Street View van typically seems to go down streets rather than turning, the pictures at the intersections can be done at different times. :)
