On 5 October 2009, around 1 A.M., two men scaled a fence at the Calgary Zoo and entered the premises. There, they annoyed a young adult Siberian tiger. No need to ask what happened next.

In the satellite view, a cozy old house can be seen next to the Arby's. But in the GSV, the house is GONE. At least some of the trees have survived. Among them is a Norway Maple, one of the very few specimens of its kind in Calgary, and perhaps the largest. Calgary's wildly fluctuating winter temperatures are very hard on most non-native trees.
