Outdoor scenes of "The Giant Gila Monster" (1959) were filmed at the Cielo Ranch (which has since been subdivided). This place also hosted crews for two other movies: "The Killer Shrews" and "My Dog Buddy." Several episodes of the TV western "Have Gun, Will Travel" were shot here. That's something of interest to movie buffs.....by travel I was reminded of the fact that I am planning to visit Galapagos on an adventure trip soon and wonder if Google Street View also has some amazing footage of the place with interesting facts that I might want to check out.
