Thanks Mapper99. I don't enjoy seeing things like this, but that's the nature of StreetView...seeing the world captured for several moments on any stretch of highway. There are a lot of deer near my home, and they are almost like pets, so I don't like seeing them get run over. But Google needs to stop deleting things. Why even have StreetView?!

I agree...I guess it is bad PR? Especially with regards to some of the privacy related posts.

Yummy. Venison. Here in West Virginia road kill is a staple food.

BTW. Deer dart in front of cars because of a hardwired response to predator threats. The deer perceives an fast approaching motor vehicle as a predator and darts as it would in response to a large cat or other fast moving attacker. Unfortunately for the deer, an automobile doesn't respond in the same way. A natural predator commits to a lunge toward its prey using the kinetic energy produced from its straight line run. The slower moving yet agile deer darts at the last second in an opposing direction while the predator, committed to its power lunge, cannot reverse direction thus allowing the deer to (possibly) escape. A car just keeps going ahead and hence, no more Bambi and perhaps a trashed motorcar. As this is Super Bowl Sunday, watch the same technique being used by running backs against defensive tackles. Neat, eh?

I'd like to see Rolling Hills Sanatorium in Bethany NY added, it's as big hot spot for Paranormal Investigators.
