Alfred Hitchcock and his crew came to Bodega Bay and the inland Bodega in 1962 to shoot "The Birds." An infamous scene in which birds gather on school grounds before attacking the children was filmed at the Potter Schoolhouse, now a private residence. Artistic license placed the school much closer to the coast than it is. In this view, Potter is behind the shed. Join discussion...
